Book Discussion: Born on Third Base

April 5, 2017 - 7:30pm to 9:30pm

Chuck Collins, great-grandson of Oscar Myer, considers himself part of the privileged 1% and in this accessible and interesting read gives pause to all of us to think hard about economic inequality in our society, and how we, many of us with economic privilege, can connect with lower income communities in a powerful and affirming way. Collins challenges us to examine the economic systems in our country that can make this an unjust society, and the role that we can play to change this.
